The upcoming 5th Annual Ski Jam impressively grows out of the well-earned shadow of Ski Jams past, which isn't easy considering past lineups have included powerhouse performances by the likes of Government Mule, Keller Williams, Arrested Development, Medeski Martin and Wood, and Michael Franti and Spearhead, among others.
With a 2008 lineup that includes pioneers like Bill Nershi and Honkytonk Homeslice, New Monsoon, the new South Austin Jug Band, Drew Emmitt Band, Tea Leaf Green, and the
Back Door Slam, Ski Jam pays homage to its Colorado setting and its talented musical exports and also strives to
reflect the many branches of the area’s rich live music scene,
from bluegrass to rock, blues to electronica, world music and beyond.
